Buy to Let Remortgaging

Coventry Building Society has introduced a range of offset and buy to let mortgages with flat fees at 65 per cent loan to value.

For landlords, the Coventry’s new, two year fixed rate buy to let mortgages include a 3.75 per cent package with £250 booking fee and £2,249 arrangement fee.

There is also a 3.99 per cent BTL loan with £250 booking fee and £1,749 arrangement fee, and a 4.25 per cent deal with £250 booking fee and arrangement fee of £999.

Colin Franklin, the building society’s sales and marketing director, said: “All products include a valuation up to the value of £670 for offset or £700 for BTL loans and a legal package for those remortgaging to us.”

First Time Landlords Numbers Expected to Grow This Year

Demand from potential tenants for suitable properties is far outstripping demand, according to a new study by the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA).

Some 55 per cent of lettings agents questioned said that they had more people coming through their doors looking for rental homes than they have properties on the books.

Ian Potter, operations manager of ARLA, said that this demand represents a serious opportunity for people looking to invest in the buy to let market and a growing number of first time landlords is expected to be seen this year.
